Built by a Maine Sawmill Operator Who Spent 3 Years Fighting the System
Jim Macomber has 35 years of deep expertise in sawmill operations, fabrication, and rural industry. He can build, weld, cut, and operate machinery in conditions most people won't endure. But like millions of tradespeople across America, he ran headfirst into a wall when it came time to fund his business — Camp Lumber.
The paperwork alone consumed 35 to 45 hours every week. Grants, compliance requirements, state licensing, insurance filings, loan applications — each system separate, each portal clunky, none of them connected. Built for lawyers and consultants, not builders.
Jim knew he wasn't alone. He knew that every rural entrepreneur, every tradesperson, every second-chance business owner in America faced the same wall. So instead of just getting through it himself, he decided to build the tool that tears it down — for everyone.
FounderReady is the platform Jim wished existed from day one. And because he's lived it, it's built exactly right.
"I WISH THERE WAS A TOOL TO CONNECT YOU WITH THE INTERESTED FINANCERS, LENDERS, INVESTORS, AND FUNDERS ALL IN ONE so a person could set up their business on a need basis, complete all paperwork and documents through the state and federal levels, obtain the insurances they need to start, and when they have everything done to par, they get the funding needed for starting directly and with low barriers."

Founder, Camp Lumber — Maine
"You personally live the exact problem that millions of rural small business owners and tradespeople face every day. That's your unfair advantage — and that's why FounderReady will win."
